The exhibition Regards d’artiste Martin Bruneau, organized by Les Chemins du Patrimoine en Finistère, is taking place at the Château de Kerjean in Saint-Vougay from April 9 to November 6, 2011.

For many years, the paintings of Martin Bruneau have reinterpreted those of the Old Masters: Rembrandt, Velázquez, Courbet, Poussin and Philippe de Champaigne.

Echoing the first period of the existence of the Château de Kerjean (from the sixteenth century to the eighteenth century), Martin Bruneau puts forward a project built around the idea of presences: painted portraits and ceramics inspired by seventeenth-century paintings, black-and-white photographs taken in the surroundings of the château and on which are painted still lifes and other images evocative of the Renaissance.
