Brought together for the first time in a French exhibition, Jon Eric Riis (United States) and Marcel Marois (Canada) are the artists who best explore the new territories of tapestry. Metamorphosis is at the heart of the creative process: the transformation of raw materials such as wool and cotton for Marcel Marois and silk, metal and glass beads for Jon Eric Riis, to the final step, weaving. These materials thus form the warp and the weft of a story belonging to each of the two artists.
