For the Pride Month 🌈, the documentary My Prairie home takes you in the footsteps of the transgender singer and musician Rae Spoon on the roads of the 🇨🇦 Canadian Prairies.

This musical documentary is a poetic odyssey created during transgender singer and musician Rae Spoon’s tour.

Director Chelsea McMullan composes an intimate, poignant and playful portrait of an exceptional artist. Set against a backdrop of folk-rock music and profoundly melancholy and introspective pieces, Rae Spoon explores the meaning of life as a member of the non-binary trans community. In their writing, they reveal how mental pain affects this community, which is particularly exposed to oppression and questions how to support each other to get through these traumas.

Canada / 2013, Long métrage documentaire musical / 76 mn, VO sous-titrée français
