He is a laureate of the Fondation Royaumont in France for the training course “German Baroque Polyphony: Heinrich Schütz”. He has perfected his skills at the Centre de musique baroque de Versailles, a leading centre for research, creation and production of the rich French baroque musical heritage. He has participated in several recordings, including Le Destin du nouveau siècle (Campra).
On Thursday 14 December, David Turcotte will be sharing the stage with Rodolphe Lospied, a talented pianist from Bordeaux. Trained at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Bordeaux, his studies have enabled him to acquire the speed and exacting standards inherent in the profession of accompanist. He accompanies the Masterclasses of Antoine Palloc, Olivier Freidj, Anaïk Morel and Salvatore Caputo, and works regularly with the Opéra de Lyon. A versatile musician, he plays as harpsichordist in the opera Bang! conducted by Ingrid Roose at the Philharmonie de Paris. Since 2018, he and soprano Julie Goussot have formed the duo Symbiose – awarded the Grand Prix at the Concours de Mélodie Française in Toulouse.
