Les sommets du cinéma d’animation
Cinémathèque québécoise
Centre culturel canadien
November 14th, 2018
20:00 - 22:00
In the presence of Marcel Jean, director of the Cinémathèque Québécoise and artistic director of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival.
The Canadian Cultural Centre is launching an annual partnership with the Cinémathèque Québécoise focusing on animation. For 16 years, the Cinémathèque Québécoise has been organizing Les Sommets du Cinéma d’Animation, an international festival whose objective is to federate the international animation community, to create links between professionals, artisans and the public, and to celebrate the excellence of Canadian animation in particular.
For the Centre, Marcel Jean and Marco de Blois have put together a programme of Canadian short films that had left their marks on recent editions of the festival, adding two films directed in 2018 by French filmmakers in residence at the Cinémathèque. This diversified selection celebrates the daring and creativeness of a cinematographic genre that makes the exploration of its limits a constant source of inspiration.
In partnership with the National Film Board of Canada.
