Artists in solidarity with Ukraine
An Initiative of Foreign Cultural Institutes in Paris

The initiative “Artists in solidarity with Ukraine” will bring together foreign cultural institutes in Paris, including the Ukrainian Cultural Centre, the EUNIC network of European cultural institutes, the US Embassy and the Canadian Cultural Centre, with the Villa Gillet, for an event of solidarity with the cultural world in Ukraine. 

Together, we will carry the voices of Ukrainian cultural actors in these days of war against Ukraine and its democracy on European soil. Authors from all over the world will read texts by Ukrainian writers in French translation, to underline their solidarity with the Ukrainian people and Ukrainian creation.

Ukrainian authors Sophia Andrukhovych, Yuriy Andrukhovych, Stanislav Asseyev, Serhiy Jadan, Ilya Kaminsky, Markiyan Kamysh, Lina Kostenko, Andreï Kourkov, Maria Matios, Neda Nejdana, Oleg Sentsov, Zanna Slonowskaia, Oksana Zaboujko, selected with the help of Irina Dmytrychyn (Historian, translator and lecturer at the Institut national des langues et civilisations orientales)

Paul Serge Forest
Paul Serge Forest, who writes under a pseudonym, is born in Baie-Comeau, Quebec. His first novel, Tout est ori (VLB Publisher) received the prestigious Prix Robert-Cliche in 2021, and then continued to accumulate honours, receiving the Prix des Écrivains francophones d’Amérique and being nominated for the Governor General’s Literary Awards. Tout est ori is published in France by Éditions des Équateurs.
