For Pride Month, the Canadian Cultural Centre invites you to the screening of “Love, Scott” on Tuesday, June 8 at 9pm on Facebook, in partnership with the NFB.

Synopsis
One night, while walking down the street in a small town in Nova Scotia, Canada, Scott Jones, a young gay musician, is violently assaulted, leaving him paraplegic. What follows is a courageous and vulnerable journey to recovery, and the transformation of his life.

Filmed over a period of three years, this documentary by Laura Marie Wayne, director and friend of the protagonist, accompanies Scott Jones on his journey of resilience and reconstruction.  From the brutal shock of his first moments in hospital to the return to the very place he was attacked, Scott is constantly faced with a choice: to sink into the pain or to open himself up to love rather than fear.
