-> Saturday, June 25, 8–11 pm at maison rouge  – free admission

Based on playlists proposed by the artists and inspired by the works presented as part of the group exhibition My Winnipeg at the Maison Rouge, DJs Wakame and Guillaume-Van Roberge and VJs Pillow & Mademoiselle invite you to discover the best in music and the visual arts from Manitoba. An evening organized by the Canadian Cultural Centre in partnership with the Maison Rouge.

VJs Pillow & Mademoiselle

VJ Pillow (aka Thien Vu Dang): Instead of using paper, pencil and traditional musical instruments, he prefers to work with video camera, laptop computer, video mixer and other electronic gadgets. For him, the image is music for the eyes.

VJ Mademoiselle (aka Yasuko Tadokoro): Favouring a certain idea of positivism, her video performances are characterized by their freshness and lightness, yet bear the mark of the technological advances in the digital arts.

DJs Wakame and Guillaume-Van Roberge

DJ Wakame (aka Walter Scassolini): After 25 years of activism, the music lover still enjoys playing music on his radio show (dedicated to current independent works) and concocting soundtracks by choosing tracks for the fashion shows and boutiques of the Japanese designer Issey Miyake.

DJ Guillaume-Van Roberge: A writer, musician and playwright, he has also composed music for various projects, ranging from theatre to documentary, via the media arts
