La Fête de l’anim’ invites Co Hoedeman for an exceptional masterclass that will explore the major works and the trade secrets of this big name in international animation.

Co Hoedeman was born in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He moved to Canada at the age of 25 and worked for the National Film Board (NFB). He has made many films for children: Oddball (1969), Tchou-tchou (1972) and his famous series of shorts featuring the teddy bear Ludovic. Well-known around the world, the director uses different media to channel his creativity and spark the imaginations of young and old alike: marionettes, sand, drawings, wooden constructions, etc. His film The Sand Castle won the Oscar for Best Animated Short Film in 1977.
