On the fringe of the June Events Festival where he will be presenting his new work, “Snakeskins”, Benoît Lachambre is given carte blanche. He presents two films by the filmmaker and visual artist Pierre Coulibeuf.
The film “Somewhere in Between” is an experimental portrait of the American choreographer Meg Stuart, a cinematic narrative that is discontinuous like a mental projection. “Magnetic Cinema”, inspired by Lachambre’s “Lugares Comunes”, touches on the realm of the supernatural. A play of forces links the characters of the film to the natural elements, resulting in strange and instinctual gestures.
