Publications

Since it was founded in 1970, the Canadian Cultural Centre has regularly published booklets to accompany its programme of exhibitions.

In 1994 a more ambitious series was created, bringing together important essays on art and intended to constitute the record of the exhibitions at the Centre. The Esplanade series owed its name to the geographic location of the Centre and suggested openness and the public space open to encounters of all kinds. Several authors contributed to the series, including Daniel Arasse, Paul Ardenne, Christophe Domino, Hubert Damisch, François-Marc Gagnon and Martha Langford.

Over the last few years, the Centre has taken a more diversified approach, focussing on co-editions with institutional partners and publishing houses.

On the occasion of its reopening in 2018, a new partnership has been launched with the publishers Skira.

The following books have been published and co-published by the Centre since 1994.
